post competition report
it wasn't meant to be afterall. a legacy has just ended. like some others have said, the wall of magnum has fallen.
2nd team to perform was ntu aces. a perfect routine from them. their standard has went up under the coaching/guidance of rsu, which wasn't surprising. however so, the whole routine was very similar to rsu's 2nd performance at the end of the show. but still, they still managed to pull it off.
magnum was the 3rd team to perform. 2/3 of the opening stunt fell, which was pretty bad. opening of 2nd routine, 2/5 of it fell too. from the moment the opening stunt fell, sad to say, the title is already gone from our hands.
warriors was up next, the 4th team to perform. same like magnum, opening stunt fell. teddybear went back. however so, the rest of the routine went up without much of a problem. overall effect was clean and neat. warriors have raised their standard within a span of 1 year. lenny really can do miracles with just over 6months.
who is to blame for the loss? like some others have said, i would prefer not to say it out here. you know i know is good enough. dion is a great coach, no doubts about it. but sometimes, when thing goes wrong, it will go wrong all the way. just hope that we pick ourselves up and fight back hard. just like yifang said, magnum managed to retain the title for 5 straight years, but can aces do that? or will they be just a one-time off winner in 2006? we never know, until cheerobics 2007.
overall results for open category
1st ntu aces
2nd ngee ann poly magnum force
3rd saf warriors
